TikTok Shop lets people buy your products without leaving TikTok. They see a post, tap the product, and pay. For a small seller, that is a big deal: the app that brings the views also takes the order.

But a shop with no posts sells nothing. This guide covers both parts: setting up, and getting people to buy.

Part 1: Set up your TikTok Shop

  1. 1

    Open TikTok Shop Seller Center

Sign up as a seller in TikTok Shop Seller Center. You can sign up as a business or as an individual seller. Have your ID and business details ready.

  2. 2

    Link your TikTok account

Connect the TikTok account you will post from. Your products show up on this account.

  3. 3

Add your shipping and payment details

Set where you ship from, your return address and the bank account for payouts.

  4. 4

    List your first products

Add photos, a title, a price, stock and a description. Start with your 3 to 5 best sellers.

  5. 5

    Wait for approval

TikTok checks your shop and products. Rules change often, so read the current seller rules in Seller Center.

Check the rules first

Some product types need extra approval or are not allowed. Check the TikTok Shop prohibited and restricted products list before you buy stock.

Part 2: Make product listings that sell

  • Clear main photo — the product on a clean background, filling the frame.
  • Photos in use — someone wearing, holding or using it.
  • Simple title — what it is + who it is for + one key detail. "High-waist running leggings with phone pocket".
  • Short description — 3 to 5 lines on why it is good. Sizes, materials, care.
  • Fair price — check what similar products sell for on TikTok Shop.

Part 3: Post content every day

This is the part most sellers skip. On TikTok, posts bring the buyers. The more good posts that tag your product, the more chances to sell.

Post ideas for TikTok Shop sellers

  1. Problem → product: "Tired of leggings that roll down? Try these."
  2. 3 ways to use it: one product, three uses, three slides.
  3. Before and after: show the difference the product makes.
  4. Unboxing: what comes in the box, close up.
  5. Mistakes: "5 mistakes people make when buying running shoes."
  6. Reviews: real buyer reviews, word for word.
  7. Gift ideas: "Gifts for runners under $40."

Slideshows work very well for products. Each slide shows one detail. See how to make a slideshow on TikTok. If you would rather not be on camera at all, read what TikTok's own rules allow for a faceless TikTok Shop first, because the format you pick matters.

Work with creators

TikTok Shop has an affiliate program. Creators can post about your product and earn a cut of each sale. It is a way to get more posts without making them all yourself.

Part 4: Track what sells

Every week, check which posts got views and which ones led to orders. Make more posts like your winners. Drop the formats that do not sell.
